Description
This is a unique lampwork glass pendant, in an unusual spiral design made by Morganna. Its hung on a multiple cord consisting of different textures, fibres and colours.
All of Morganna's necklaces are completely unique. The pendant its self measures 4cm (1.1ins) in diameter and the cords are 50cm (19.5 ins) The cords fasten with a sturdy silver metal lobster claw catch. They come in a black, velveteen, drawstring gift bag.
Morganna aims to design fashionable handcrafted jewellery, with a pagan theme.
Symbology
Spiral patterns have often been used in Celtic, and Pictish art. They are reminicent of a reoccuring design which appears in nature, i.e. the shell, and the fircone etc. Spirals in ornamental and magical art date back to 25000bc. One coil spirals are found in the art of most peoples of Europe, Asia, Africa, Polynesia, Egypt and the Americas.
The spiral represents eternity and continuity. This spiral is deocil.
Dyonas is one of the celtic gods of water. Legend has it that he was the guardian deity of the mouth of the river conway. It is said that he was the son of Gwyddion and Arianrodd and took of to the sea as a newborn so he could swim freely like a fish. He is also known as Dylan Eil Ton ' the son of the wave'. in other stories he married the lady of the lake and they bore Vivviene, Merlins great love.
Morganna dedicated this pendant to this particular God due to the colour scheme. Blue symbolises thursday, jupiter and the element of water. libra, aquarius, balance, Peace, Healing, Tranquility,. It offers protection, Justice and guidance.
